Community Programme Coordinator

**Please note; This is a 2 years fixed term contract until 31st March 2025**

We are recruiting for an experienced **Community Programme Co-ordinator **to manage the community programme at Strood Salvation Army for this exciting opportunity to re-commence Salvation Army community programmes.

**This position requires the post holder to be a practising Christian.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Networking with Church members, other local Salvation Army expressions, Churches and agencies and community groups.
- Develop and lead worship in the community programme where appropriate and take part in worship relevant to the community expression of The Salvation Army.
- Provide pastoral care and support to those using our programmes.
- Recruit and develop a team of volunteers.
- To design, develop, deliver community programmes to meet the needs of the local community.
- To work within the and be an enthusiastic advocate of our Christian ethos and values.
- Work within Salvation Army safeguarding policies.

**You will**:

- Be a practising Christian
- Have experience of leading faith-based activities
- Have confidence and experience of holding pastoral and work-based conversations
- Have experience of designing, developing community activities and programmes
- Have experience of supervising staff and volunteers
