Are you a Quality Engineer with experience working in the defence or regulated environments based around Portsmouth?

If so, our client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their friendly and ambitious team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, who are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering systems.

The company specialise in the design and manufacture of atmospheric control systems for the defence industry and are part of the wider company group.

**Your role as Quality Engineer**:

- As part of your role, you will gain an understanding of their customer’s quality requirements and ensure processes are in place both internally and at suppliers, ensuring conformance.
- Monitor and control processes and documentation to ensure customer flow down requirements are met.
- Drive product and process non-conformance investigations and associated root cause analysis activities, including concession management and customer reporting.
- Write, revise and review standard operating procedures to include Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans (Quality Manual, SOP, work instructions, forms, drawings, customer specifications) to ensure compliance, accuracy, efficiency and clarity.

**About You**

**To deliver this role you will be required to have the following**:

- Experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience of working within a military / defence / regulated environment.
- Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Demonstratable knowledge of document control and organisational skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal communication, technical writing, and process improvement skills
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance, manufacturing, distribution and environmental systems.
