**Quality Engineer & Senior Quality Engineer**

**Location**:Portsmouth BroadOak (on-site)

**Salary**:£31k - £48k

**The Quality Assurance Engineer role**:
Atlas Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineering on behalf of our prestigious defence client.

As a Quality Engineer you will be joining a business unit who work within development, manufacturing and provide - life support for manufacturing and under water weapons sector.

The UWW product is bespoke, unique to BAE working with cutting edge technology. Manufacturing sector products include - high end micro-electronics technologies, RF and millimetric frequency thin film substrates

**What you'll be doing as a Quality Engineer**:

- Consulting with PMs to define and agree quality planning, programmes of work and associated activities
- Managing source release activities and supplier surveillance
- Advising on quality requirements and processes.
- Managing non-conformance
- Providing inputs and metrics to the projects for customer reports (monthly / quarterly)
- Supporting Design Certification
- Supporting the business in maintaining Quality Certification e.g. ISO9001 / AS9100 / TickIT plus

**Your skills and experiences as a Quality Engineer**:
**Essential**:

- Proven experience within Quality Assurance
- Some knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards and third-party certification
- Some practical experience of Quality Assurance tools and processes, especially root cause analysis

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of the design and product lifecycle is desirable
