**Job title**: Senior Support Worker

**Locations**: Burnley/Padiham

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Rate of pay**:£12.00 per hour

**About us**

We specialise in supported living and community support, assisting 20 individuals who have physical and learning disabilities over Lancashire and Blackburn. The services comprise of people living together in spacious bespoke homes, living by themselves in their own homes or with family members.

**The role**

You will be joining our ever-growing team to support individuals living in their own homes throughout Lancashire and Blackburn. Key responsibilities include:

- Working alongside the Team Leader to develop person centred support plans in order to ensure we meet the individual needs of each person we support.
- Under the guidance of the Team Leader develop and sustain effective and appropriate relationships with service users, family, carers, colleagues and external parties.
- Support the Team Leader in the effective implementation of health and safety policies, effective risk management and accurate record keeping.
- Under the guidance of the Team Leader directly supervise and support a small number of staff.

**About you**

We are driven by our person-centred values, and we want you to be too. Previous experience working effectively with people with learning disabilities and/or Mental Health challenges is a must as you will need to be able to work with a range of individual’s differing needs.

You must be responsive and flexible, to meet the needs of the services. Holding at least a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care is essential.

Due to the wide areas covered, it is essential to drive and have access to your own car so you can be responsive to the needs of the services.

**Experience**:

- Providing care / support: 2 years (preferred)
