All staff currently work out of our home based office near fiveways with a view to getting office premises in the Fiveways area of Brighton. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant/Book keeper to join our friendly but busy team to assist with all things financial. The primary function of this role is to provide accurate financial information for the business and develop skills to further support the finance function. This role would suit someone who wishes to grow with the company and ideally has an interest in Property. The Key duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Ownership of Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable.

Production of a monthly payroll payment run

Ensuring all rechargeable costs are entered ready for weekly sales invoicing.

Bank Reconciliations

Assisting with month end margin analysis

Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts

Quarterly VAT return preparation

Skills required for the role:
Essential

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role.

Excellent excel and computer skills are required, as is the passion to meet deadlines with accurate information. *

Strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles

Understanding of accounting software systems - including Xero and Excel

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

We offer incentives to all company employees which includes flexible working (part-time or compressed hours is available) and some working from home. We also aim to become a Co-operative company with all staff receiving a share of profits.

**Salary**: £14.00-£18.00 per hour

All Staff have regular Covid tests. All office staff have chosen to be vaccinated and 90% of the tradesmen who we work with have also received vaccinations. We have a quick notification system of all staff should anyone come into contact with Covid 19.
