- Gi Group are seeking a transport coordinator to work for our client based in New Holland (DN19), within their transport and logistics department.
- Our client has a drive for service and people, setting high standards in the quality of product and the overall operations process, supplying market-leading multi-product solutions including structural timber and bespoke milling services.
- Pay rate - £14.00 per hour
- Hours of work - 0700-1500hrs / 1300-2100hrs Weekly rotation Monday to Friday
- Contract type - temporary ongoing position
- **Own transport will be required due to location**
- Purpose of Role
- As a transport coordinator you will ensure that customer orders are fulfilled in full, on time and in a cost-effective manner. Delivery/ collection management from order processing/planning and allocation of resource through to point of delivery, ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
- Maintain legislative compliance and provide first line management of drivers.
- Duties include- Produce daily transport plan including own collections by agreed cut off time / sequenced loading

plan.- Cost effective planning utilising own resource and subcontract.
- Produce / agree loading plan with loading supervisors to ensure loads are picked, loaded, and

dispatched for departure time to achieve delivery bookings.- Facilitate distribution of loading / journey manifests by agreed time.
- Report late running and delivery queries to customers services team / customers.
- Schedule all customer and raw materials collections within agreed timescales.
- Maintain relationship with suppliers.
- Accurately despatching timber & creating delivery papers.
- Data entry, load analytics.- Experience of Transport Office
- Planning experience, preferably multi drop.
- Aware of Drivers hours and Tachograph legislation
- Microsoft competent, Excel
- KPI driven, cost, trailer fill etc.
- Experience of dealing with drivers
- Ability to react to changes in the plan, proactive.
- Advantage to have used Planning software and WMS systems.
