Your new role
As a Lead Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful project management and delivery of complex projects involving multiple teams which have technical or political risk for National Highways. You will bring your energy and experience to driveprojects at pace. You will be organised, professional and personable, with a clear ability to lead on and matrix manage cross business teams, working collaboratively.

This is an exciting and fast paced role that will allow you to work with operational specialists to deliver transformational Digital Services projects.
What you’ll be leading on

Responsible for the delivery of the Asset Management Systems Programme which comprises a series of large/complex projects.
Managing and developing the working relationships between the suppliers, the technology teams and business colleagues.
Providing leadership and effectively managing activities for the project delivery team
Ensuring all projects you are involved in support the National Highways imperatives of safety, customer and delivery.
Tracking the delivery against the project plan, ensuring effective controls and mitigations are implemented to address risks and issues that impact success.
To be successful

Project management qualification or relevant work experience of leading on complex technology projects
Experience of strong stakeholder management capability and collaboration
Experience and ability to digest complex information and communicate across all levels both verbally and in writing (presentations and reports)
Previous experience of leading or managing a team successfully
Desirable - knowledge or experience of working with operational technology in transport environment
