**MATERIAL CONTROLLER/INVENTORY CONTROLLER (office based)**

My client has a terrific opportunity to join a worldwide industrial group and their fun and sociable supply chain team as a **material controller**.

This business specialises in products and services relating to the transport and distribution of electrical energy.

This role is 100% office based, Monday - Friday.

A Few Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities for a** material controller**:

- Maintain sufficient inventory to support customer demand whilst reducing exposure to over stock, ensuring the stockholding policy is upheld, reorder levers, safety stocks etc.
- Raise purchase orders in line with Planning and production requirements, to ensure that all components and materials are available for the planned production / requirement date, considering supplier lead times, quality, and cost.
- Maintain existing supplier relationships, especially on any long lead time items, high usage items and high value items
- Ability to utilize ERP information and analyse results to effectively manage your workload, including the ability to prioritize, work within assigned deadlines

Skills knowledge and experience:

- minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supply Chain or inventory planning/purchasing position.
- Educated to an A-Level standard or equivalent
- Be able to work within deadlines / under pressure, understands problems solving.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
