Financial Controller

We are recruiting an Interim Group Financial Controller for a £6m AIM listed International technology business.
Reporting to the Part-time CFO you will have full ownership for the finance function whilst business partnering with the leadership team to support the growth of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting and developing a first-class finance department, leading, and coordinating all day-to-day finance and accounting operations for four jurisdictions.
- Working closely with Heads of Departments to support clear reporting and financial objectives.
- Coordinating the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Managing weekly cashflow forecasts.
- Leading the consolidation process including inter-company reconciliations.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
- Leading month-end and year-end close process under rigid timelines.
- Leading annual audit, collaborating with external accountants and auditors.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, supporting one member of the team.
- Technically strong (IFRS), ideally with some experience of reporting in a listed environment.
- Possess strong financial control experience and be capable of driving consistency and improvements in reporting.
- Experienced in transactional, financial and management accounting.
- Be a commercial-minded finance business partner.
- Be a strong leader and people manager.
- SAP experience is helpful, not essential; strong Excel is essential.
- Excited by the idea of being a hands-on team player in a small team, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
