**About The Role**:
We are looking for Senior Support Workers to work within our **BEAUTIFUL** Autism Accredited Supported Living Service based in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire. Moorpark Place is a specialist supported living service for adults who are on the Autistic Spectrum. Located in a peaceful and stunning setting in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire, we specialise in providing supportive, therapeutic care. Our aim is to support our residents to have an enjoyable and engaging life, both on and off site.
The layout at Moorpark Place is unique and different to many other specialist adult autism services in the UK. Our community consists of 25 individual houses set in their own grounds with some shared facilities, including: Gym, Sensory room, Music room, Dance hall, Family room and conservatory, IT room, Large walled garden with individual garden plots, Trampolines, play equipment, We support people who would struggle to live independently because they need help with everyday tasks and managing their own home.

In your new role, you will:
- Assist the nursing team with the assessment of individual patient / resident needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care for a number of individuals or groups of patients, including clinical risk assessment.
- Undertake clinical work related tasks as delegated by senior nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate, legible records of care provided, based upon the care plan incorporating all relevant communication and liaison.
- Undertake clinical supervision with Support Workers
- Work with the wider team to reduce reliance on agency staff, by helping to get shifts covered, sometimes at short notice
- Deliver training to other staff on a range of topics
- Facilitate debriefs with staff following incidents or difficult shifts promoting positive reflection and creating awareness of areas for development
- Facilitate the induction of new staff throughout the hospital with a “mentor” system to enable transfer of knowledge
- Monitor and evaluate new staff during their induction / probation period ensuring that any feedback and areas for development are appropriately followed up with them and that clear targets are set and achieved in line with the Care Certificate
- Ensure that all Support Workers are allocated necessary breaks and that patients have the right level of supervision and observations by producing the shift planner, having due regard for skill, experience and gender mix
**About You**:
**You will ideally have**:
- A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working within the care and support sector
- Some experience working with brain injury is desirable
- The ability to build a great rapport and the desire to truly make a difference
- A person-centred approach in all aspects of care
