Estates Officer

The base for this role will be flexible and determined by your home location. There will be lots of travel to and from our locations trust wide for site inspections, meetings etc.
As an Estates Officer (Electrical), you will be a vital member of our estate management team, focusing on maintaining a safe and compliant environment with specialised expertise in electrical systems. You will be responsible for:
Implementing robust safety protocols to uphold operational efficiency and safety across all electrical sources, including solar PV and generators.
Providing technical support to the Estates Helpdesk, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Conducting surveys and assessments to support quality audits and corrective actions.
Managing minor estate schemes and projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical information and negotiate effectively.
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities for coordinating within a multidisciplinary team.
Analytical skills to assess data and produce insightful reports.
Effective planning and prioritisation skills to manage projects and tasks.
Problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges and risks.
Adaptability to changing requirements and organisational needs.
A bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations or BS 7671:2018 qualification.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and electrical standards.
Industry-specific certifications or qualifications such as Certified Electrical Technician (CET) or Certified Electrical Engineer (CEE).
Proven experience in estates management within a complex organisation, including compliance and operations.
Experience in managing projects and budgets.
Knowledge of Legionnaires' disease prevention and asbestos regulations.
Familiarity with NHS procedures and practices.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
