The Park Maintenance Operative contributes to providing a well maintained, appealing and safe environment at Caldecott Hall Country Park, together with an excellent and efficient service. You will be responsible for the general park maintenance and upkeep of the park and estate buildings, reporting to the General Manager.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure on a daily basis that the Park is maintained to the agreed standards including landscaping, hedgerow maintenance, perimeter fencing, park pathways/roadways, drainage and litter picking.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and minor repairs to all estate buildings and park owned properties.
- Assist with the implementation of legal and site rules, e.g. speeding vehicles, dogs not on leads etc.
- Undertake daily checks of the park and report any obvious problems such as water leaks etc.

**Other Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Communicate with property owners and guests professionally.
- Carry out any requested remedial works, via the park office when required.
- Comply with recommended safe working practices.
- Maintain all equipment in good working order.
- Report all potential accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Take care of your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, owners and guests.
- Work unsociable hours, when required.
- Conform to out of hours emergency telephone.
- Take regular meter readings, e.g. gas, water, electric.
- The role covers weekend working which is on rota
- Any additional tasks which may arise at the Park Manager’s discretion.
