Manufacturing for over 80 years my client has become an industry leader, improving the health and wellbeing of its customers.
This role aims to allow the successful applicant to manage all systems and information on behalf of the company, ensuring that the business has a secure, robust and continuous IT functionality.
Reporting directly to the Head of HR, your duties and responsibilities are as follows.
*Ensure that the business IT security is the primary priority in all tasks undertaken regarding network, data, storage and communication systems
*Proactive involvement in all IT infrastructure escalation processes
*Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements
*Identify and evaluate risks to the business, developing network recovery and back up processes to prevent and eliminate such risks with emergency backup plans for equipment, power or security failure to preserve technology and company data.
*Installation and configuration of computer systems, identifying faults and solving internal technical problems
*Ensure replacement and repairs to hardware/software is completed within agreed timescales, ensuring mínimal disruption to colleagues and business functionality.
*Maintain a live asset register status for all hardware and software throughout the organisation, ensuring all assets are fully tracked both on and off site
*Proactively manage and improve external service and relationship with IT managed services providers; ensuring deliverance of contractual SLA's, attending service level review meetings and providing updates/feedback to the business
*Proactively ensure full involvement in all business projects at an early stage to understand IT involvement required
*Proactively lead project activity from end to end with excellent communication, constantly seeking to make validated recommendations and ensuring there are backup plans to protect business functionality during implementation stages
*Review existing company MRP/ERP functions and identify, propose and implement new solutions to enhance business processes
*Produce monthly management reports to the company Board of Directors on all IT activity, identifying any key issues that the Board should be aware of
*Proven track record of successful planning, leading and implementing of significant business-wide IT infrastructure changes across various technologies.
*Demonstrate strong engagement through training and support when delivering roll out/implementation plans
*Extensive working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administrator, database and data storage systems and phone systems
*Demonstrate participation in successful business audits
*Excellent project management skills with a strong ability to prioritise
