CYCLEme TOTS Canterbury are looking to recruit a highly motivated, patient and confident individual to take on self-employed coaching hours to help increase the opportunities offered to young children in schools and the local community. This role will essentially support our Lead Coach in the delivery of fun and engaging balance bike classes to children aged 2-5 years. Through various games and activities you will be helping children develop their physical, social, and cognitive skills.

We are looking for an engaging Assistant Coach to work alongside our team. This is a fast paced, energetic role - boundless enthusiasm and energy are needed Ideal for anyone with experience of working with children and has a genuine desire to help build confidence and support every child in reaching their full potential. If you are 100% reliable and passionate about inspiring young children to be more active, whilst teaching them life-long skills, then we would love to hear from you

With classes preparing to launch in the Canterbury area, we are initially looking for coaches who can dedicate term time hours to coaching at schools, nurseries and parent classes on a part time basis Monday to Wednesday, with the option of expanding to additional days and weekends providing parent/toddler classes, birthday parties, track days and more if desired

**Responsibilities**:

- Learn and execute balance bike activities for children aged 2-5 years (lesson plans and training provided).
- To support and work alongside our lead coach in the delivery of activity classes.
- Working as a team and taking the initiative when necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Create a positive and fun environment for children to learn and play.
- Be a loud presence and confident leading in front of children and adults.
- Encourage children to participate in activities and motivate them to achieve their best.
- Communicate effectively with parents and teachers.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised activity area.

**Requirements**:

- A full drivers licence and access to own car.
- Previous coaching or teaching experience (helpful, but not essential).
- Enhanced DBS check (essential - can be applied for through us).
- Experience of working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and engage children in a positive and safe manner.
- To complete and stay on track with all relevant training (provided).
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate (preferred, but not essential).
- To be professional, punctual and reliable.
