At Brighter Places, we are pleased to announce that a vacancy has become available for a part time, permanent Property Compliance Officer to join our team. The successful applicant will play a supportive role in delivering compliance across the association, ensuring that we provide an efficient and effective service.

You will assist in the delivery of property related safety servicing programmes, ensuring that customers are safe and that we meet and exceed our landlord statutory requirements.

You will also support the delivery of the Property Safety MOT programme and ensure any actions resulting from the inspections are effectively delivered.

You will consistently demonstrate our Values, creating positive working relationships with internal colleagues, external customers and stakeholders.

**What you will receive**
- A starting salary of **£4,799.86(FTE **£25,265)**.
- Working **7 hours** per week (one full day) in an hybrid working environment
- **30 days** annual leave (pro rata) + Bank holidays + 1 day volunteering leave + ability to buy up to 5 days additional annual leave

**What will you be doing?**

Reporting to the Senior Property Compliance Officer you will:

- Support the delivery of safety servicing programmes, including gas safety, asbestos safety, mechanical and electrical safety, water and fire safety, ensuring we meet our statutory obligations.
- Regularly monitor safety servicing contractors’ operational performance.
- Support with the delivery of the Property Safety MOT programme.
- Support the delivery of the weekly/monthly programme of inspections of all communal areas.
- Assist to ensure access is achieved to carry out safety servicing or inspection activities. This may include any necessary enforcement activities in line with our policies and procedures.
- Work with the Housing and Customer Service teams to ensure recharges are processed and undertaken in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any safeguarding or customer related vulnerability issues.

You will have excellent administrative skills with the ability to prioritise, plan and manage a busy work load. You will use your professional and positive communication skills to interact with a wide range of internal and external customers

You will be a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail. You will have a can do attitude and be willing to go the extra mile for your customers

A prior knowledge or background in social housing would be desirable.
