We have an exciting opportunity for a **Pub Reconciliation Assistant**, to be part of our Pub Reconciliation Team supporting our Managed and Operator led sites.
The role requires someone with fantastic communication skills who can work collaboratively with a team of General Managers, Pub Operators and Regional Managers to ensure accurate reconciliation of the Weekly Statements of Trade.
- Reconcile the Pub Weekly Statements of Trade circa 80 sites to ensure policies and procedures are met and correction journals actioned.
- Create and distribute weekly reports to highlight any issues and risks identified.
- Ensure daily bankings are verified and cash banking queries are resolved.
- Work with General Managers, Operators and Regional Managers to ensure errors are addressed and cash reconciled in a timely manner.

**Core Accountabilities**:

- Checking and validating the Weekly Statement of Trade circa 80 sites
- Checking the daily site ‘sign offs’
- Sorting and logging weekly post
- Checking weekly Management Fee & Support Fee claims (Operator led sites only)
- Adjusting nominal accounts through journals to ensure accurate site reporting on P&L
- Creating weekly Exception Reports for Regional Managers advising of anomalies and areas of risk
- Chasing and requesting proof of banking from Operators and escalating where appropriate
- Communicating and escalating areas of risk to relevant internal departments
- Updating Back of House system when required
- Adhering to the strict weekly and monthly deadlines
- Training and supporting new Team Members
- Carrying out internal inductions
- Representing the department and presenting at Area Meetings to raise awareness of controls and provide additional support to their customers.
- Archiving weekly envelopes
- Supporting and assisting in adhoc duties and project work

**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**:

- Numerate with a high level of detail
- Ability to work well under pressure, to meet strict deadlines and prioritise work
- A positive and resilient approach to deliver customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to interpret data and escalate anomalies
- Strong interpersonal skills to help support General Managers, Pub Operators and Operational Departments
- Continually challenge ways of working to improve efficiency
- Pro-active, self-motivated with ‘can do’ attitude

**Qualifications/experience required**:

- Basic understanding of Finance
- Basic. Intermediate Microsoft office knowledge and capability, especially with Excel
- Experience of working in a team environment

**Preferred knowledge**
- Undertaken similar work within the Pub \Hospitality industry
- Understanding of Zonal till system and Zonal dimensions would be an advantage but not essential

The Solihull Pub Support Team offices are light and airy offices in Shirley, Solihull, where you will be greeted by our Welcome Team.
