**About Us**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Customer Relations Team as a Customer Relations Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled individual who is passionate about making a difference to Warwickshire County Council’s customers. The Customer Relations Officer will join our dedicated team who coordinate complaints and undertake independent investigations and reviews.

**About the role**

The successful applicant will develop close working relationships with our directorates and staff across the authority and play a vital role in the delivery of an efficient and effective customer focused complaints service by providing advice and guidance to services investigating customer complaints. You will also be expected to liaise directly with complainants and other external organisations, and maintain a professional, independent approach when undertaking investigations and reviews.

You will be expected to maintain consistently high standards of complaints handling in line with legislation and the organisation’s policy and take opportunities to ensure the authority learns from and improves the services we provide to our customers.

You will also maintain high standards of data entry to ensure our information on complaints is reliable and robust. You will ensure that complaint responses are monitored and progressed in a timely manner to ensure that they are signed off within the timeframe.

The post holder will report to the Customer Relations Delivery Lead and will be part of our Customer Contact service.

**About you**

An excellent communicator, you'll have the confidence to liaise with customers, service users and staff across the Council. You'll have experience of working within a customer services or complaint handling role, which will enable you to work sensitively with people who are distressed or angry. With excellent ICT skills, you'll also be able to manage and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines within a pressurised environment.
