**Integration Developer**

Robert Half Technology is delighted to be partnering exclusively with an education provider who operate world-wide, to support in the recruitment of a fully remote Integration Developer. Our client is helps to create life-changing learning opportunitiesfor students all around the globe, and is looking for a proactive, conscientious developer to design, implement and maintain the integrations between their key systems. This person will eventually be responsible for an exciting new project, working autonomouslyto write a new integration platform, with plenty of scope for ownership to be taken.

**Role**

As a Integration Developer, your key objective will be the maintenance and development of integrations across a multitude of platforms that integrate with the businesses key systems. You'll be trusted to work autonomously with mínimal supervision to completetasks within the overall development project. Some of your responsibilities will be as follows:

- Designing, coding, documenting, and testing software from agreed specifications
- Assisting as part of a team on the design of different system components
- Designing test cases and test scripts
- Engaging with different users/stakeholders, defining relevant characteristics and create user stories
- Creating and curating technical documentation

**Competencies**:

- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and other divisions within the business
- Positive "can do" attitude with excellent communication skills
- Proactive approach to your work and autonomous working
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

**Technical skills**:

- Application development experience using PHP
- Experience with TypeScript and NodeJS
- Experience with Integration, API Management/Gateway and microservices patterns
- Data streaming experience e.g. Apache Kafka
- Some knowledge of AWS containers and/or serverless functions

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of integration concepts and patterns e.g. XML schemas, SOAP, WS specifications
- Knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with integration systems
- Experience working in an Agile environment

**Salary & Benefits**

The Integration Developer will receive a salary of circa £50,000, plus excellent benefits including fully remote working, as well as the opportunity to progress their career in a global business while taking ownership from some exciting projects.
