**Be part of building Scotland's future**:
What will you be doing this summer? How about getting paid to work on real projects on a scale you never thought possible before graduation? Join our Undergraduate Summer Placement Scheme and expect interesting, vital and hands-on work with experienced people you can learn from.

You could be meeting with our clients - the companies innovating and scaling to improve Scotland economically. You’ll work with colleagues from across our extensive network. Crucially, you’ll get world experience to complement your studies. By the time you go back to uni, you’ll have played an important role in helping us secure a prosperous future for Scotland.

We're Scottish Enterprise - Scotland's national and international economic development agency. We work to transform the Scottish economy. What we do really matters: from helping to create high-value jobs and boosting productivity to growing Scotland’s wealth. It’s success you could soon be part of.

**The opportunity**:
Did you know there are high-growth companies emerging from Scotland’s world-class universities, as well as from the country’s exciting new entrepreneurs? This is your chance to work closely with these businesses, as you help Scottish Enterprise support their creation and growth as part of a fast-paced team.

We’re talking about the development of technologies likely to impact lives and the economy as they come to market and mature. In this new role within our dynamic High Growth Services team, you’ll thrive in an environment where continuous learning and collaboration with experienced professionals are built in to everything you do day to day.

Put in the work, and you’ll absorb expertise, gain practical skills and work across multiple teams to help us understand the impact of our support for high-growth companies and projects.

**The role**:
Working alongside the teams which support world-class research into commercialisation, international expansion and investment, you’ll support our understanding of the progress we’ve made to date.

This will mean:

- Collecting and organisation data from various sources
- Ensuring data accuracy and completeness to aid analysis
- Performing initial data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies in large datasets
- Analysing the impact of High Growth Service provision from spin-out to early-stage scale
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to help bring data to life
- Analysing reports and making recommendations on future ways of working

**Who we're looking for**:
You'll be passionate about analysis and understanding data trends, and you’ll join us with the drive and self-motivated to work as well by yourself as you do in a team.

Good numeracy and analytical skills are a must, as is an ability to work to tight deadlines. You’ll also need to know your way around software such as Excel and Microsoft Teams.

**Life at Scottish Enterprise**:
As one of Scotland’s Top 10 Flexible Employers, we pride ourselves on empowering our colleagues to work when and where they prefer so that they deliver as best they can, in support of our corporate plan.
