An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Planning team as a full-time Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) officer. The post holder is expected to be able to attend and work across all sites which include St Mary’s at Paddington, Charing Cross at Hammersmith, Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea at East Acton, Western eye at Marylebone and several community sites.
Reporting to the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) manager you will be part of an established team and be required to work across all aspects of EPRR including business continuity and FFP3 mask fit testing. You will be expected to support in all existing and future EPRR programs and projects to ensure that the Trust is compliant with the Civil Contingency Act 2004, Health and Social Care Act 2012 as applicable to EPRR, NHS England Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Framework, Department of Health EPRR guidance and other NHS requirements relevant to EPRR and mask fit testing.
You should be educated to post graduate degree level or have relevant professional experience in an emergency planning related environment. Significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management in a complex environment is essential.
You should be a self-motivated, innovative and flexible individual with excellent communication and organizing skills who should also have experience in working within NHS. Attention to detail and ability to manage complex information are vital, along with ability to work under conflicting and often changing pressures and objectives. Working as part of a team is important but also being able to lead projects independently seeking to improve and direct any EPRR projects towards the desired outcome.
Any resilience or EPRR qualifications will be an advantage but not essential. The post holder is expected to participate in any relevant training or education as identified by the EPRR manager.
