The School of Health, Social Work and Sport is one of the largest schools in the University and probably the most eclectic in terms of educational provision. As part of this varied portfolio sits a relatively large number of Allied Health pre-registration programmes. Furthermore, the School boasts one of the largest portfolios of sport-related programmes in the UK. This ranges from foundation entry through to level 8 PhD-based programmes as well as extensive credit and non-credit bearing CPD courses. The School currently hosts two degree apprenticeship programmes in Operating Department Practice and Advanced Clinical Practice, and is excited about the provision of a Level 6 Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship from September 2023.

The successful applicant will be joining a school with over 150 members of staff and will work specifically with the Physiotherapy DA provision. The successful applicant will work closely with the course team and NHS Trusts to support employers and apprentices in the delivery and quality assurance of work-based education.

The applicant should have experience of supporting work-based education as well as health care experience.

Applicants must have skills in mentoring and coaching and experience of report writing. They will also have the ability to contribute effectively to the assessment of knowledge and skills in the workplace against competency statements.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston.
