Working in a small team, you will provide** **free impartial advice and support to children and young people with SEND and their parents or carers in Redbridge, in compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and national and local standards.

You will be primarily located at Lynton House and varying outreach locations.

Your key areas of focus in the role will be:

- Working with the team and RIASS Manager to maintain a service that is ‘arm’s length’ from the Local Authorities
- Provide information, advice, and support before, during and following a SEND appeal and or Tribunal. This may include representation during the hearing.
- Empowering service users to express their views in meetings with the local authority, education providers and other professionals.

You will need to be able to tailor your support based on individual needs, undertake research and signpost to other services as required and will need excellent communication skills.
