As a Digital Assessment Officer, you will be responsible for organising & delivering training, assessments, work-shops and activities. You will utilise a range of digital tools and techniques in line with the most up-to-date priorities for the digital sector.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Role: DIGITAL ASSESSMENT OFFICER**

**Purpose of role**:The Digital Assessment Officer role will support the development of our work-based learning offering here at Big Learning Company. Key aspects of the role include:

- Supporting the promotion and advertisement our offering to potential learners
- Managing and monitoring a caseload of learners
- Assisting with the creation and delivery of engaging learning content
- Maintaining high standards of training, assessment and support

**Effect on the business**:The role of Digital Assessment Officer will support in maintaining our strong relationship with existing partners and learners. Additionally, this role will involve forging new relationships with future potential partners and learners. It will ensure that Big Learning Company remains an effective provider of high quality, meaningful digital qualifications - contributing to our overall aim**:‘To provide people with the digital skills needed to live, work & thrive.’**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Job Specific**:

- Deliver and organise training, assessments, workshops and centre-based activities using a range of digital tools to enable learners to achieve all learning outcomes on the Digital Framework, including Essential Skills Wales.
- Meet all requirements of awarding organisations e.g. Partner Centres, Estyn
Common Inspection Framework, Welsh Government, the Professional
Standards and BLC.
- Liaise regularly with Line Manager (Digital Learning Assessor) regarding management of caseload and technical queries.
- Use systems in place to effectively manage own caseload.
- Deliver, record and continually update the learning journey (initial assessments, induction and progress reviews) to ensure a meaningful learner experience and engagement with employer.
- Participate in regular standardisation and moderation activities - Acting on action points as necessary.
- Follow the departmental IQA procedures to ensure good quality standards of delivery, and progress of qualifications that meet awarding organisation requirements.
- Ensure learners’ wellbeing by supporting the completion of health and safety monitoring and following safeguarding procedures.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with employers to maintain good relationships and engagement in the learning process
- Develop links with employers to promote new business as appropriate. Act as a conduit between employers and BLC ensuring that all business leads are referred to Line Manager (Digital Learning Assessor)
- Support the recruitment of new learners as agreed with Line Manager (Digital
Learning Assessor).
- Contribute towards development of course content, webinars and strategic delivery plans.
- Effectively work on own initiative and meet set timescales
- Assess, support and develop learner’s literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills, knowledge of sustainable development and global citizenship, equality and diversity, PREVENT, Welsh language and culture, and wellbeing through delivery of qualifications and enrichment activities.
