Commercial Manager

Fawkes & Reece are working with an established Renewables Contractor who have an immediate requirement for a Commercial Manager to join and head up their commercial team working across a range of new build and refurbishment contracts (M&E and Renewablesservices).

The successful Commercial Manager will be reporting to the Group Directors and will be responsible for:

- Providing commercial and contractual advise to the directors or their representatives
- Reviewing all contract conditions for tender purposes and successful contracts.
- Providing a commercial risk assessment for important tenders and all successful contracts
- Provide line managers and Directors with a commercial overview of each department's performance against targets / costs and values.
- Finalising and agree all contractual arrangement for each contract, and train & assist the commercial team in the understanding of those arrangements
- Working with the commercial staff and managers, provide Directors and senior management with a commercial overview of contracts on a monthly basis (CVRs)
- Assist commercial staff with forecast within 30 days of each contract commencement on site.
- Manage all difficult contractual issues within the group to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Helping develop internal reporting and forecasting including monthly CVR's
- Advising, managing and monitoring cashflows of the business working closely with the Financial Director and Directors on a monthly basis.
- Attending pre-contract meetings where required
- Assessing the development requirements of commercial staff under your control and implement appropriate training
- Assisting with reviewing and commenting on tender documentation during tender period and, if successful, in the handover.
- Reviewing all subcontract orders prior to placement of order
- Assisting the team with subcontract management from negotiation and preparation of sub-contract orders, on-site management, and final accounts.
- Assisting commercial staff in pricing additional/extra/instructed items of work on contracts in line with the contract conditions
- Preparing and negotiating claims in conjunction with other Directors, departmental manager, and Contracts Managers
- Vetting of final accounts and final account reporting.
