This is a genuinely exciting and rewarding opportunity to use your skills and experience to deliver a high quality, forward thinking repairs and maintenance service, for Manchester’s biggest provider of social housing, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG).
As Head of Property (Repairs and Maintenance) you’ll lead, manage and develop our repairs and maintenance service, along with our in-house trades team. This means you’ll be responsible for 150 colleagues and a budget of £15m, to deliver key services to more than 14,000 homes.
- A demonstrable track record of success at management level within the housing maintenance sector (or similar) with departmental and budgetary responsibility.
- Proven experience of successfully delivering significant high-quality maintenance services with appropriate infrastructure and in-house delivery teams.
- The ability to investigate, identify, develop, plan and implement innovative service delivery models to meet maintenance demands.
- The ability to carry out financial and risk appraisals of maintenance delivery models.
- A relevant professional qualification ideally (or extensive relevant experience) and appropriate Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience of stretching performance targets for yourself and your team.
- Results orientated and show a determination to reach targets and objectives.
