Security Officer

Front of house security gatemen play a key role in any construction environment.
As the first point of contact on site, you will need to represent not only yourselves but Nexus Security.
As well as the ability to politely and professionally meet and greet customers and staff, the role requires an in-depth knowledge of health and safety procedures and what is required to maintain a secure environment.
**Outline Duties and Personnel Requirements**:
- Client Management - making staff, visitors and deliveries feel welcome
- Conflict management and First aid training experience
- Booking client, visitors and deliveries in and out of the construction site
- Carrying out health and safety checks and procedures, identifying fire hazards or leaks.
The front of house security gateman also keeps the site entrance area manned. Here they direct staff, visitors and deliveries to the correct parts of the construction site, and carry out any specific tasks the client requests.
**Our expectations**
Our front of house security gatemen are trained to provide great customer service with clear communication skills.
They are also dressed smartly, including relevant PPE, to portray a corporate look and deal with all staff, visitors and deliveries in a courteous and professional manner.
The security gateman will have also gone through conflict management training which equips them with the relevant qualities to keep your premises safe and secure.
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A respectable level of IT knowledge is also key.
**Working Times**
We may require you to work on different sites fulfilling different duties and working a variety of different shift patterns, therefore you will be required to have a flexible approach to the work offered. It is beneficial if you have your own transport.
**Qualifications and what we offer**
**You must hold a valid SIA licence, a 5 year checkable work history, a smart and professional appearance and a dedication to providing a high quality customer service.**
As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises. Your responsibilities will include monitoring CCTV cameras, responding to alarms, and providing assistance to visitors. We are looking for individuals with strong observation skills, knowledge of security procedures, and the ability to handle emergency situations. Excellent communication skills are also essential for this role. If you have a background in loss prevention or previous experience in a similar role, that would be highly beneficial. Basic first aid knowledge is also a plus.
