We are looking for a fun, friendly, positive and professional **Breakfast and** **After School Club Assistant/Playworker **to join our Club at **Wheatfield Primary School**.

We have a fantastic reputation and have excellent relationships with our Partnered Schools and the Teaching teams we work with, the families who we support with this provision, the team who we support fully in their roles, and most importantlythe children in our care

**Job details**:
**Days**: Monday - Friday (Term Time only)

**Session time**:7.40am-8.40am **and **3pm-6pm (20 hours per week).

**Location**: Wheatfield Primary School, Woodward Cl, Winnersh, Wokingham RG41 5NW.

**Rate of Pay**:£7.50 - £10.50 (including 12.07% top up = £8.40-£11.76).

**Requirements of a Before and After School Club Assistant/Playworker**:

- Must have experience of working with children
- Must be happy, friendly and fun
- Must be a team player (this is very important to us; the children will love to have you on their Dodgeball team of course)

**Ideally you will also have**:

- A Level 2/3 in Childcare/Education
- Completed a Full Paediatric First Aid Course
- Completed a Level 2 course in Safeguarding
- Completed a Level 2 course in Food Hygiene and Catering

(Don’t worry if you don’t have any of these - we have access to many great courses)

Duties may include:

- Supervising and engaging with children during playtime activities
- Plan and organise age-appropriate games, crafts, and provisional areas
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Assist with snack time and mealtime routines
- Maintain a clean and organised environment
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding their child's participation and behaviour
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive play environment

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
