The SU is looking to appoint a Student Voice Co-Ordinator (Postgraduate Representation) to join our Student Voice Team.

Working with the Education Manager and Postgraduate Officer, this role will support our Doctoral Representatives and Postgraduate Taught Academic Reps to positively shape the educational experience for students.

**About the role**

You will join a small team of student engagement specialists, formed to support our student leaders through fun and engaging methods. Working directly with our Postgraduate Students this role offers the opportunity for someone to come into the organisation and shape the way we do postgraduate representation.

You will take a lead role in creating and developing our postgraduate elections by working with students and staff from across the organisation to implement best practice from both within the university as well as from across the sector. The outcome of which will help us to positively shape the experiences for students and staff engaging with our various elections, events and campaigns. By running volunteer recruitment as well as delivering training and running events, you are guaranteed to develop an array of valuable skills which will help to broaden your knowledge of working with volunteers and students in a higher education setting.

Alongside more traditional forms of representation (elections), you will be comfortable with analysing data from across a breadth of digital platforms and using that to inform colleagues and students from across the university. You will bring creativity and innovation to the role, being open to new ways of supporting our academic representatives to ensure they're having an amazing experience within their roles.

- Understand the differing experiences that our postgraduate students may experience, especially when compared to undergraduate students
- Have experience of working with students or young people in an educational setting
- Take difficult or confusing topics and turn them into something students can understand and engage with
- Understand the importance of democracy within a membership-led environment
- Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, as well as students from a variety of backgrounds
- Can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
