The dmg:media Pictures team is looking for a talented **Assistant Picture Editor** to join our London bureau.

Must be flexible regarding shifts (including weekends and nights).

**Requirements include**:

- 2-3 years' experience in creating graphics, and editing and sourcing picture content for a newspaper or online news operation
- Ability to work within stringent deadlines with the focus on sourcing, editing and packaging picture content to the highest standard
- Confidence in negotiating exclusives and managing agency relationships
- Experience in Photoshop
- Good technical knowledge of picture management and web publishing systems
- Background in news and showbusiness picture content is desirable
- Understanding of legal covenants such as the UK Editors' Code of Practice, media law and editorial guidelines in Australia and globally is desirable
