Our client, a prestigious school in Reading is looking for a Senior IT Support Technician. The Senior IT Support Technician will work closely with the Deputy IT Manager to maintain the IT infrastructure and support staff and students. As a crucial memberof the IT team the post holder will be required to support the Deputy IT Manager and IT Support Technician in completing tickets and conducting second/third line support.

**Key Duties**
- To ensure the smooth running of supported IT systems
- To ensure the security of all IT hardware through regular software updating
- To provide outstanding, proactive, accessible support to all users
- To oversee support to users via the helpdesk system
- To provide second/third line support knowledge
- To provide support to first line technicians
- To enable Teaching and Learning in line with the digital strategy

**Key Requirements**
- Previous experience working in Education industry
- A recognised IT qualification
- Experience in helpdesk operations
- Experience configuring computer hardware and software
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
