**Board Member appointment: Ayrshire and Arran NHS Board**:
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 368,000 people living in the area, and provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for the population.

As a non-executive member of this Board, you will have a key role in supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategic direction in addition to contributing to scrutinising performance, and discharging governance and accountability functions. You will be offered the training you need to make a strong contribution.

**Remuneration and time commitment**: Remuneration is £9,030 per annum (non-pensionable) for a time commitment of one day per week. Reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed.

**Location**: The meetings for Ayrshire and Arran NHS Board are held across Ayrshire. In recent times, meetings have been held virtually. Going forward, the expectation is that Board and Governance Committee meetings will be held by blending virtual and physical meetings

**Interviews**:Interviews will be held on Thursday 28 September 2023 and will be conducted via MS Teams.

- Ability to contribute effectively to the decision making of the Board

You do not need to be an expert in health or have previous experience of being on a Board. We are looking for people who have the capacity and commitment to develop their skills and to learn new skills they may require.
