**Job Overview**

Are you an AP Clerk looking for a fantastic opportunity to move into a new role which offers real potential for growth and development? To be considered for this role, you will ideally have proven experience working within a similar role and will have valuable accounts payable expertise. You will also be motivated, resilient and have excellent attention to detail.

**What will you be responsible for?**
- You will support the Financial Controller by having responsibility for day-to-day management of the accounts payable process ensuring adherence to external and internal regulations.
- You will also provide support to the Financial Controller from time-to-time to support month end activities and other ad-hoc projects.
- Overseeing invoicing and transactional activity such as actioning new supplier requests, matching invoices to valid purchase orders, receiving and processing of invoices and expenses.
- Act as a first point of contact for AP queries within the Finance Department, to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring that new supplier requests (without queries) are set up within 48 hours of receipt and all invoices/expenses are processed in 48 hours.
- Assisting with the implementation of any process improvements.

**What are we looking for?**

**Essential**
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Able to work independently and good attention to detail.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Teams, and accounting systems.
- Good time management and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Approachable and able to deal with Stakeholders at every level across the business.
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Right to work in the UK.

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in life sciences.
- Experience of working with Xero accounting system.
- Experience of working with Amici purchasing system.
