Production Administrator

Our client, a prestigious engineering and manufacturing client, based in Thetford, are currently seeking a Production Administrator to join their team. This role reports to the Production Manager.

You will be responsible for Production Administration, Production Expediting and Production Control.

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday - Friday, 08.30 to 17:00.

As the Production Administrator, you will have your finger on the pulse of productionknowing where material is and the status of each job. You will be totally focussed on the prompt and accurate supply of material and labour, including pushing things tosub-contracting if need be.

**Key Skills**
- Are you able to absorb and understand technical information?
- Do you have sound computer skills? Utilising Microsoft Office and experience of MRP software is preferable? (Training provided with specific softwares)
- Do you have experience from within an engineering manufacturing environment? (Ideal)
- If so, this could be the role for you**Production Administrator’s Job Duties**:

- Generating production orders for all 'stock’ items including laser cut/bent profiles, small sub-assemblies required for project related larger assemblies
- Attending the fortnightly production meetings commenting on material availability and project progress & issues
- Working with the Production Manager to utilise systems for planning purposes.
- Analysing the hours taken on projects and updating systems to ensure product routings are accurate and current.
- Generally working with the various production departments tackling any problems they encounter; researching the issue and ensuring it is resolved properly for the future; this could include material errors (BOM or picking); routing errors & target times;shortages.
- Working with both Engineering and the Production Manager, to ensure the product routings and labour times accurately reflect the operations and tasks required.
- Assisting the Production Manager with all production planning associated tasks as required.

As the Production Administrator, you will possess good communication skills, with a methodical and systematic approach to tasks, with excellent attention to detail.

Production is the very heart of our client’s business - planning & controlling every aspect from raw material movement to generating profiles and small assemblies for stock, to ensure there is enough labour at the right time, to achieve outputs.
