You will work as part of the Children, families and young people public health team working across Hampshire and Isle of Wight as well as the Isle of Wight Family Hubs team so you will have excellent partnership working and team working skills and experience. As part of the larger Hampshire and Isle of Wight Public Health Team, the Isle of Wight team has the benefits of being a small, close-knit unit, that is currently growing, able to provide valuable peer support, teamed with the expertise and opportunities of a large, multi-disciplinary workforce. The post is full time and fixed term until the end of March 2025.

**You will be**:

- driving forward the delivery plans with progress reported to the Early Help and Family Hubs board for onward reporting to the Department for Education
- working in partnership with all key partners in health, care and the voluntary sector involved in children’s health and wellbeing services

To succeed you’ll also understand the breadth of public policy and be able to work at a population level, translating changes achieved by individuals and communities into health improvement across the community.

You will be a good communicator and self-starter, able to be organised, good at team working, reporting progress and effective at seeking agreement for decisions. You will become confident at contributing your ideas while consistently working to standard processes and working within your level of experience and expertise.

Public Health is committed to workforce development and training and if you display the potential to develop a career in public health there will be further training and learning opportunities open to you.
