- previous applicants should not apply.**We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator / Practitioner to join our team. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children during their crucial early years of development.


Hours are between 7.15am and 6.00pm to ensure staff to child ratios are maintained with a minimum of 16 hours per week (no zero hours contract).

Please note, this is a permanent position on completion of a six months probationary period. Opportunities for Continuous Professional Development are provided.

Duties:

  • Plan and implement ageappropriate activities to promote the physical, social and emotional development of children along with the requirements of the EYFS
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
  • Observe and assess individual children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing appropriate support
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's development, including observations, assessments, and progress reports
  • Drive continuous improvement in the nursery setting, implementing best practices in early years education
  • Foster positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families to create a supportive and collaborative community
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines for health, safety, and hygiene in the childcare setting

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education (Health & Social Care is not accepted)
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a childcare or nursery setting

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to effectively work in a nursery environment and engage children in learning activities
  • Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
  • Valid driver's license is desirable but not essential
