Champions Mentor

Champions is an innovative intervention programme supporting young people, aged 10-25 engaging in, or at significant risk of engaging in, crime and anti-social behaviour. Working as part of the Violence Reduction Network (VRN), the Champions Programme Mentor will work with targeted individuals/groups of young people with the aim to reduce offending behaviour and risk to others.
Utilising mentoring skills, the mentor will support and signpost to relevant agencies to provide wrap around support where required, the Champions Programme Officer will encourage the young people to access positive pathways such as education, employment, training and community provision.
Adopting a trauma informed approach, mentors give their time with genuine interest to create a trusted relationship and innovative interventions which promote personal development, wellbeing gains and consequently reducing their experience of offending and antisocial behaviours. The programme is confidential and non-judgemental.
The programme comes in three easy to understand phases, focusing on progression at the client’s pace and objectives set by them. The team provide support for as long as needed provided participants are engaging and working positively towards their goals.

**Salary**: £22,500.00-£24,500.00 per year
