Your role at a glance
We are currently hiring a Divisional Head of Financial Crime to join our team.

The Divisional Head Financial of Crime for Group Functions is responsible for all aspects of second line financial crime risk management for L&G’s group functions (e.g. HR, Finance, Procurement, Technology etc.).

The responsibilities are equivalent to those of the Divisional Financial Crime teams that exist for each of L&G’s Business Divisions, and concern execution of the Group Financial Crime risk management framework across L&G group functions.

What you'll be doing
In the absence of a second line risk team for the group functions ‘division’, the Group Functions Divisional Financial Crime (DFC)” team sits within Group Financial Crime (Group oversight team). The GF DFC team is responsible for the:

- Provision of all aspects of second line financial crime risk management to the Group Functions within L&G Group plc. in accordance with the Group Financial Crime Policy and GFC’s wider risk management framework, including but not limited to:

- Ensuring that Group Functions are compliant with the Group Financial Crime Policy
- Conducting investigations arising in the Group Functions areas
- Conducting risk assessment of the the Group Functions areas
- Carrying out QA & Testing of controls in the Group Functions areas
- Delivering FC Training to the Group Functions areas
- Establishing and maintaining timely provision of management information and reports
- Coordinating the requirements of the business Divisions / other DFC Teams regarding shared services provided by the Group Functions areas
- Managing Group Functions DFC team-members
- Managing senior stakeholders within the Group Functions areas (e.g. HR, Finance, Procurement, Technology etc.)
- Managing relationships with other Financial Crime stakeholders, notably the sub-functional heads of GFC and the other DFC heads in the business divisional 2nd line.
- Providing leadership with respect to other ad-hoc GFC initiatives that may be initiated as part of embedding the GFC risk management framework, as required, and to support wider GFC deliverables.
- Working collaboratively with senior Group Risk and business stakeholders across the L&G operating divisions and group functions in the execution of all accountabilities to deliver improved outcomes.
- Taking the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance.
- _Treating Customers Fairly_: working with the new ‘Governance, Policy & Advisory’ sub-function within Group Financial Crime to design and ensure delivery of suitable training to staff to enable them to meet their requirements under policy with respect to financial crime Risk & Controls programs.

- Other Financial Services
- Sufficient commercial perspective and overall knowledge of business sectors in which L&G operates to guide Investigators
- Broad knowledge at L&G-wide level of key L&G-wide business drivers
- Understanding of L&G structure and reporting
- Excellent knowledge and experience of second line financial crime risk management within a large complex financial services organisation.
- Good knowledge of UK Regulatory and legislative framework with respect to Financial Crime
- Good knowledge of industry standard financial crime risks and control measures in financial services organisations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure high quality delivery of management information and presentations in meetings and other forums.
