**Hourly Rate**:£13.50 per hour (£13.20 base rate +30p on-call assignment) rising to £13.70 after one year in role (+20p for loyalty).

An understanding of positive behaviour support (PBS) and leading PBS in practice would be an advantage, although not essential because we can develop these skills and experience with the right person who has the attitude and aptitude to learn and deliver at this level.

**About the Role**:
**You will work on-shift, leading your team in outstanding practice. You will lead the principles of nothing about me without me, ensuring the supported persons voice (behaviours, expressions, actions, words) is heard, and they are leading their support planning, delivery, and review.

In this role, you will be Practice Lead for a Gentlemen called Mr T who lives at our former Residential Service The Firs which is a newly turned Supported Living setting. You will be supporting him with all aspects of day-to-day living both in his home and out in the community. This includes short walks locally and drives out in his car, so having a drivers licence is essential for this role.

**About Mr T**:

- He is an autistic older gentlemen.
- He needs staff support to complete everyday tasks.
- He likes books and magazines and after reading them he likes to rip the pages into small pieces and make piles around the house.
- He likes to watch tv and listen to music.
- He likes to go on short walks or for a drive in his car.
- He can get distracted when walking and needs your support to guide him in the right direction.
- His favourite beverage is coffee.

- Comfortable to sit quietly and use compassionate and considerate techniques to engage them in activities.
- Passion to live-life and lead more than a safe existence.
- Naturally curious about neurodiverse human behaviour.
- Non-judgemental and focuses more on why something happened opposed to what happened.
- A confident leader from the front, back and centre of their team, depending on circumstances.
- Able to investigate, hear all perspectives, analyse information, and develop and adapt ways of working.
- Thrive on working closely with family, wider networks, and your colleagues, collaborating and coproducing with the expertise of others to enable a holistic, truly person-led service.

**About the usual working pattern**:

- To be discussed at interview. Shift patterns will include weekend working on a rotational basis.
