This is a defining moment to be joining Camden, during a time when they are seeking to change the culture of Housing services and bring to life the ambition set out in, We Make Camdenwhich is where everyone in Camden should have a place they call home, with no one sleeping on the streets.

**The role**:We are working to find a Head of Housing Solutions who will report into the Director of Housing. You will provide strategic leadership for a solutions-based service that is critical to the delivery of the Homelessness and RoughSleeping Strategy set out by the council. You will be responsible for the housing register, commissioning, and provision of hostels, supported housing and other services for single homeless people and rough sleepers, and temporary accommodation.

The postholder is also the strategic lead for managing and maintaining the relationships between the Council and registered providers that operate locally. The role involves developing strategic highly effective inter-agency working. The role holder leadsmanagers that build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders to deliver improved housing advice, homelessness, temporary accommodation, move on, services resulting in improved outcomes for residents, and significantly reducing the impact of streetactivity on Camden communities.

This role also has responsibility for contributing to the increase of available homes for occupation in the borough by using the Council's Temporary Accommodation Property Purchase (TAPP) scheme to buy back ex council homes sold under the Right to Buy. Asa key member of the leadership team, the Head of Housing Solutions will keep abreast of legislative, regulatory and sector changes; drive cultural and organisation change embedding a strong distinctive performance culture that includes engagement of user groups;and empower and develop people to ensure Camden remains at the forefront of innovative and empathetic service delivery.

**About you**:This role requires you to be an exceptional Housing leader within the Homelessness sector with enthusiasm about the council's ambition to deliver We Make Camden and wider corporate agendas. You will be passionate about ensuringthat services are delivered with the best outcomes for residents at its heart.

You will have:

- Senior Management experience within Homelessness and/or Housing Advice, partnerships and the provision of supported housing.
- Extensive Homelessness legislative knowledge.
- Experience in working with partners to reduce rough sleeping.
- Possess exemplary budget management experience.
- Have managed relationships with members and be able to respond to complex professional or politically sensitive issues.

**Work Environment**:The post holder will work from Council buildings or from home in line with Council policies in an 'agile' way in a flexible and paperless work environment, prioritising their own work within the empowered and enabled teamculture recognising and utilising the expertise of others where appropriate.
