The Early Years Developing Local Provision project is starting its second phase in January 2024 and in Selly Oak District we are looking to expand our successful outreach offer which supports Early Years Practitioners in their own setting.

You will help to develop the inclusive practice and quality first teaching in a variety of settings, including PVI nurseries, child minders, stay and plays and school-based nursery classes by:

- supporting practitioners to identify strengths and areas for development
- providing advice and guidance to enable improvements within their practice
- sign posting to existing services and partnerships within the districts to meet identified needs
- focusing on early intervention for children in all settings and successful transitions into their next provision

You will need to be able to work as part of a team as well as use your own initiative, have a positive attitude, be reliable, enthusiastic and have high expectations of how early education can benefit young children.

Applicants will be required to hold a relevant level 3 qualification or above in Childcare and level 2 qualifications in Maths and English. You will also be required to have your own car and full driving licence as the role involves travelling around the districts. (travel expenses will be paid.)

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
