MPLOY is looking to introduce a full-time & permanent _Warehouse Manager _to a valued client in Dorchester, Dorset.

- A salary of £30,000 per year.
- A family friendly working pattern, Monday to Friday, with hours of work being 0800 to 1700hrs daily, includes one hour in breaks per day.

- wants to manage three highly successful and busy furniture warehouses/distribution centres. Alongside leading, managing and developing your team you can expect to organise successful deliveries to customers both nationally and locally whilst ensuring highstandards. You’ll be a person that is dedicated, honest, target driven & someone who doesn’t mind taking ownership.
- is an expert team leader with experience in prioritising workloads, conducting 121s & team meetings, arranging inductions & planning staff progression. You’ll be a people person with fantastic ‘soft’ skills who knows how to motivate a team.
- is system savvy and IT literate. You’ll be comfortable with the Microsoft Office package, especially Word, Excel & Outlook, and you’ll have experience using a Warehouse Management/ERP or MRP system. You’ll be a quick learner and be expected to learn/teach/becomean expert on our client’s furniture retail system (Swan FRS), not to worry full training will be provided
- is comfortable with managing warehousing processes such as: ‘goods in’, quality control, work orders, stock takes/checks, ordering packaging, stock movement/put away, picking tasks, returns & dispatch. Experience in storing/moving bulky goods manually orwith mechanical aids will be highly valued by our client.
- is aware of Health & Safety at Work and likes to work safely. You may hold IOSH/Nebosh qualifications but experience of managing safe work via Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Toolbox talks etc will be highly valued by our client.
- holds or is willing to undertake an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification alongside managing our client’s warehouse first aid procedures/processes.
- is an excellent communicator and is customer focused. You can expect to be a key point of contact for the warehouse team and won’t mind liaising with customers directly in line with client need.
- is a natural multitasker who can re-prioritise at short notice.
- has an eye for detail, is a problem solver and is highly organised.
- doesn’t mind acting as a nominated key holder and fire marshal in line with client need.
- has a UK driver licence with Category B designation. Experience in loading, unloading and driving a host of vehicles & vans, including Lutons, is highly desirable. Our client’s work can be heavy going at times so physical fitness is a key requirement forthe post holder.
- is handy with a screwdriver, especially for putting furniture together
