If you are interested in a career in Pharmacy and are an enthusiastic, self motivated individual we have an opportunity for a part time Dispensing Pharmacy Assistant to join our team based in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The main duties will be dispensing Inpatient, Outpatient and Discharge prescriptions and undertaking general reception duties. It may also involve supporting the pharmacy logistics and ward services.

As part of the role you will be required to undertake the NVQ level 2 Qualification in Pharmaceutical Services, therefore a good standard of general education is essential and a GCSE in Mathematics and English at grade C or above (or equivalent) would be an advantage.

You will need to possess excellent communication skills and willing to develop with new ways of working. Attention to detail is essential for this role as well as being able to work in a professional and timely manner. You must be a team player as well being able to work off your own initiative. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to the needs of the service. Computer literacy is an advantage although full training for the role will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
