**What does a Finance Officer role involve?**

This new role will join our finance department to provide support to our finance director and work closely with our accounts administrator.

As a member of a small team, you will be involved in a broad range of tasks from accounts payable and receivable functions to assisting with payroll, pension administration, salary sacrifice and preparation of accounts.

This role includes credit control, so you need to be adept at talking to and negotiating with clients. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a small flexible team who often work remotely.

**About You**

**What do I need to succeed?**

You must have a working background in financial administration, being able to demonstrate your knowledge in managing financial activities.

We’re looking for:

- AAT level 2/3 certificate or equivalent or demonstrate comparable experience in financial administration.
- Experience in payroll administration including knowledge of tax regulations, pension schemes and salary sacrifice programs.
- Understanding of credit control processes.
- Experience with management accounts.
- Demonstrable proficiency using accounting software.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent understanding of financial principles, practices and regulations.

Other skills which are desirable but not essential include:

- Working knowledge of Autotask business management software.
- Knowledge of Sage accounting software.
- Experience working for an IT managed service provider.
- Awareness of the importance of information security policies and processes for ISO27001 Certification.

**The Details**

**Salary: £21,600 - £27,200 per annum based on a 30 hour week and depending on experience**

**Location: Exeter/Hybrid/Remote**

We are open to various working arrangements, including office-based, hybrid, or remote work, and we strive to be flexible and accommodating. Sometimes we’ll need you to attend meetings in the office.

**Hours: 30 hours per week or we can discuss if you want less**
