Job Summary:
The Cycle Mechanic at ToyGalaxy plays a pivotal role in ensuring all bicycles are in top condition, enhancing our brand reputation and directly impacting our sales and customer service standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, superior problem-solving skills, and a strong focus on efficiency and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advanced Assembly and Maintenance: Assemble new bicycles with precision and conduct comprehensive maintenance to ensure each bike meets our high safety and performance standards before reaching the sales floor or customer.
- Efficient Workflow Management: Organise the maintenance calendar for long-term and immediate tasks. Efficiently plan for both scheduled maintenance and unexpected walk-in customer repairs to optimise workflow and reduce downtime.
- Sales and Customer Service Excellence: Focus on driving sales of white bicycles by maintaining exceptional quality and readiness for sale. Actively contribute to the sales process by ensuring product availability and providing expert advice to customers.
- Quality Control and Inventory Management: Perform stringent quality control checks and maintain a robust inventory of parts and tools. Proactively order supplies to avoid shortages and ensure continuous operation.
- Problem-Solving and Technical Expertise: Diagnose and solve complex mechanical problems. Provide creative solutions that adhere to safety standards and customer expectations.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, customer interactions, and inventory changes. Use data to improve processes and report on cycle times and maintenance outcomes.
- Customer Interaction and Support: Offer outstanding customer service by addressing customer concerns with empathy and expertise. Train retail staff on product features and maintenance practices to enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience as a Cycle Mechanic or in a similar role, with a proven track record of mechanical proficiency and innovation.
- Strong understanding of bicycle mechanics, with a focus on children's bicycles.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
- A problem-solver who can make decisions under pressure and handle complex issues with innovative solutions.

Pay: £20,986.60-£23,827.77 per year
