Manager & Owners of Care Love Learn Childcare Ltd
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
Working with the Nursery Manager and to be responsible for the daily running of the pre-school or toddler room, adhering to the Policies & Procedures of Care Love Learn Childcare Ltd, ensuring compliance with the Children Act 2006, Health & Safety legislation, all within the requirements and guidelines laid down by Ofsted and the Early Years Welfare Stage Requirements.

**Qualities**:
To be dedicated and have an enthusiastic attitude towards the role of room Supervisor whilst maintaining a positive and proactive nature at all times when dealing with staff and parents / carers.
To have the desire to achieve Ofsted outstanding status
The ability to promote benefits and enjoyment of exercise, healthy living and team play.
To be dedicated in supporting children with SEND and have a sound knowledge of the role of SENCO
**Staff Management and Development**
To work as part of a highly effective team actively seeking to build and maintain good relationships with all other team members.
Assisting the Manager in effective staff supervision, conducting regular staff assessments, recognising training needs, monitoring training and developing teamwork.
Assisting the Manager to ensure a tier system of management is in place and that duties are delegated fairly. Maintaining staff ratios are deployed effectively.
**Childcare and Education Development**
To work as part of a team in planning and preparation of, and to participate in, a range of activities for all children taking into account children’s individual needs and abilities, to provide a safe, caring and stimulating play environment.
To supervise and support children at all times. Promoting positive values, attitudes and good child behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the established policies and encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed.
Promote an inclusive social, physical, creative, emotional and intellectual play for all children using a range of resources and personal skills so that all children feel valued and involved.
**Operational Control**
Assisting the Manager and participating in arranging regular parents’ evenings, publicity, open weekends and children’s outings and ensuring effective marketing.
Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Supporting and liaising with the Manager on a daily basis.
Ensuring that the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery and out of school rooms, kitchen and equipment are carried out according to the Policies and Procedures and risk assessments.
Ensure that Care Love Learn at St Oswald’s offers the highest of standards of physical and emotional care by following the existing Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies.
Carry out all responsibilities within agreed policies and work within an equal opportunities and safeguarding framework, informing the Manager of any concerns.
Any other duties to the post as directed by the Manager and owners.
**Managing Customer Service**
Help develop the quality of Care Love Learn by offering new ideas for service improvements involving the children, colleagues and parents/carers.
Build strong parent/carer relationships ensuring any issues are promptly passed onto the Manager or dealt with in the Managers absence.
Liaising with parents/carers and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery.
**Administration**
Read, understand and follow all company policies and procedures and assist in the development of these by making suggestions to the Manager.
Working with the Manager to maintain administrative records as directed by the owners.
Keeping and monitoring accident, incident and risk assessment records.
Support a positive relationship with Ofsted.
**PAY, HOURS OF WORK and BENEFITS**
£12.07 / £13.16 per hour dependant on qualifications and experience
Full year or term time plus 6 weeks (this is negotiable)
Hours of work Rotate 7.30-4.30 and 9.00 till 6
Uniform provided
