We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Manager to join our team based in Swindon.

To help us fulfil our goals we are looking for an **IT Service Desk Manager** to join us at our Head Office in Swindon.

You will have the opportunity to "shape" IT at the foundation level, in relation to people, processes and technology, in terms of delivery an exceptional IT service to our colleagues. We have an enthusiastic and positive IT support team, who need your guidanceand support.

The successful individual will lead, manage, and develop the IT function and work collectively and collaboratively across all areas of the business in pursuit of joint organisational goals.

As a champion of our Customer First Principles and values, you will help and support the team to understand the requirements for change, interpreting and aligning the significant role the IT function plays in the overall performance of the business.

We can offer hybrid working, so you will be in the Swindon office for three days a week and homeworking for the rest of the week.

**Key Responsibilities of the IT Manager**:

- Training and coaching to build a highly motivated, collaborative, and engaged IT support team focused on driving continual improvement to the service levels offered
- Manage direct reports and support the whole team to drive performance and support career development
- Develop the IT support team frameworks for all infrastructure, network and IT support components, ensuring a readiness to support the business and its strategic and tactical plans
- Inventory and day-to-day running of most of the IT systems
- Manage all infrastructure, network and key third-party IT supplier relationships, governing supplier performance and ensuring alignment with technical (including cyber) strategy
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure that there is no adverse impact to the business, purchase order management, invoicing, and IT budget alignment
- Ensure that the IT service desk is managed effectively within clearly defined SLAs
- Manage hands-on day to day, technical problem-solving providing first, second, and third-line support in a timely and appropriate manner

**Essential Skills**
- Has a technical background, experienced in 1st to 3rd line support
- Previous experience managing high performing IT support teams
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to adapt communication styles and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrates strong team management skills
- Is confident in leading integrations and implementing new technologies
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and IT systems
- Ability to provide efficient and cost-effective technical support
