**We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planning Lead to join the Programme Delivery section of Yorkshire Water. This is a full time, permanent opportunity and will be working from home with occasional travel into a Yorkshire Water office, location to be confirmed.**

**What will the role involve?**

You will plan and coordinate projects and activities in P6 for a programme of work. You will co-ordinate and lead planning process for new and refurbished assets across the programme in AMP7 via collaborative working between Yorkshire Water (YW) Asset Planning, YW Service Delivery and the Delivery partner teams. You will ensure health and safety excellence; regulatory compliance; operational integrity and resilience; operational efficiency by providing planning leadership to achieve the programmes required outcomes in the most efficient way.

As part of the integrated YW Project Controls team, you will be responsible for work with the team to ensure consistency in approach and data across the AMP 7 programme, and in particularly will work closely with the Project Control lead on their assigned projects to ensure a fully integrated approach to assessing and reporting project performance.

Some key accountabilities of the role include the following
- Create end to end Project and programme baseline
- Measure progress and schedule impact on key milestones
- Provide assurance on schedules submitted by Delivery Partners, ensuring they can be accepted based on the NEC guidelines
- Chair regular scheduling to discuss milestone movement, seeking solutions to mitigate any schedule risk
- Carry out ‘what-if’ scenario planning of sites to ensure the optimum schedule is achieved.
- Work closely with Project controls lead and wider cost, risk and change management teams to provide a fully integrated performance approach
- Work as part of the programme team to deliver excellent performance by understanding how their individual performance links into achieving the team’s wider objectives
- Support the Project Delivery teams with compensation event analysis
- Proactive approach to managing interfaces and potential blockers, working with project teams to reduce schedule risk

**What skills are we looking for?**

You will have significant experience in all aspects of planning and scheduling, including the following
- Work Breakdown structure creation
- Preparation and update of logic linked programme
- Baseline management
- Critical path analysis
- Preparation of periodic reports
- An understanding of Risk management and change management
- Experience or knowledge of resource loading programmes, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting and status reporting

You will have previous experience of utilities or large Infrastructure projects. You will have strong IT skills as you will be using a range of IT systems in the role. In particularly, the ability to operate professional planning tools such as P6 and ideally knowledge and experience of project control tools and principles.

A confident communicator you will be able to work well with others and build up effective working relationships to work collaboratively with wider teams across the business.

You will have strong influencing and negotiation skills and be able to challenge undesired behaviours appropriately.
