Person Specification To have undertaken a recognised qualification and to be appropriately regulated in one of the core mental health professions e.g. nursing, social work, psychology or occupational therapy, or substantial previous experience as an NHS psychotherapist.

Qualification in a recognised psychological therapy, to Postgraduate Diploma level or equivalent. Well
- developed knowledge and skill in multi-disciplinary team working with complex clients. Ability to manage and have good insight into the personal emotional impact of working with unpredictable levels of high emotional distress and psychological trauma amongst the client group being served. Ability to maintain a calm and professional stance in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the potential threat of physical violence.

Awareness and understanding of ethical issues that arise in this area of work. Experience of working with people with eating disorders, including specific theoretical and practical knowledge of working with this client group. Relevant experience of working in a mental health setting within a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of the assessment of the suitability of prospective clients for a recognised psychological therapy.
