Do you want to break into the Space sector? Then this opportunity is for you. My client is a global organisation who operates within the space sector and is based in Oxfordshire. The business's mission is for the safe and sustainable development of space forthe benefit of future generations.
They are developing innovative and scalable solutions across the spectrum of on-orbit servicing, including life extension, in-space situational awareness, end of life, and active debris removal, to create sustainable space systems and mitigate the growing andhazardous buildup of debris in space. They are looking for an experienced and motivated Cyber-Security Manager to join their IT team.
**What you'll be doing**:You will be responsible for leading the security of their space and ground segment platform developments as well as managing the security requirements across various space missions. You will need to have a good understanding of the development lifecycle, ideallyhaving worked as a Software Engineer, ideally in embedded systems, as well as good knowledge across the whole security domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with leadership to establish, update and maintain a strategic approach to secure development.
- Become embedded in development projects to support the implementation of an effective SDLC.
- Conduct security reviews of their projects to build assurance in the security of their systems.
- Develop threat models for their missions, Provide security guidance, knowledge sharing and training to their engineers.
- Ensure that security requirements are implemented effectively across their projects.
- Support the development of relevant security policies and standards.
- Support the Security team in other duties as required.

**What experience you’ll need to apply**:

- Passion for cybersecurity, keeping up to date with the latest threat intelligence, technologies and trends.
- Experience in the identification of vulnerabilities, either through source code analysis, penetration testing, dynamic testing or system modelling.
- Professional experience working in a cyber security role for a minimum of five years.
- Knowledge and experience in developing threat models and identifying security weaknesses over complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills: an ability to communicate technical detail to a variety of different audiences.
- Communications and computer networking experience, real-time operating systems
- Programming or secure code review skills, primarily in C.
- Remediation, mitigation and resolution of security issues, e.g., through patching.
- Cloud implementation/security experience (predominantly AWS).
