Cyber Security Consultant

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to contribute to key sectors within the UK Government and MOD? We are on the lookout for an experienced Cyber Consultant. Apply your skills in cybersecurity risk assessment, risk mitigation, and the MOD Secure by Design methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute thorough risk assessments and develop security mitigations.
  • Work on the development of security architectures to meet defined requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain RMADS, SMPs, and SyOPs in accordance with MOD accreditation requirements.
  • Manage system security risk registers and ensure governance processes for MOD accreditation.
  • Identify and address information security threats, vulnerabilities, and obsolescence issues.
  • Collaborate with CyDR assessors and manage vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts.
  • Provide guidance on MOD and HMG System and Information Security requirements.
  • Offer consultancy services to external clients and mentor junior consultants.

Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in HMG Information Security Standards and MOD SbD policies.
  • Strong background in designing infrastructure, systems, and software security controls.
  • Proficiency in MOD Secure By Design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
